The Shale Insight 2018 conference and exhibit was held Oct. 23-25 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.

This year, Shale Insight integrated all conference exhibitors, general session keynotes and panels and breakout session presentations, into one large hall with five program stages. In addition to providing an opportunity to showcase, innovative technologies and products directly to decision makers from the industry’s largest companies, this year’s exhibitors received full access to conference activities, sessions and luncheons.

Shale Insight attracts a national and an international audience. The conference has had more than 10,300 attendees and more than 2,800 companies, representing 37 states and more than 20 countries.

“We don’t have all the surveys back from those who attended the conference, however, I did hear from attendees at the conference that they really liked the new conference set-up, which created one dynamic show floor and networking experience,” said Erica Clayton Wright, vice president of communications and membership for the Marcellus Shale Coalition, one of the conference organizers.

Shale Insight began in 2011 when three oil and gas industry groups decided to combine forces to organize a regional conference.“They also said the substance and content of the breakout sessions was valuable and that the discussions on cybersecurity were timely and informative.”
